4GB DDR2 SDRAM (Max: 8GB),
320GB SATA HDD (5400rpm) ), from harvey norman. It costs $1599 from compaq directly.HN even gave me an extra year of internet security with the free stuffs from HP included. So my advice is to stay close to harvey norman's booths and wait for announcements for special offers. Usually there are only limited sets available. There were only 5 sets available for my model and were snapped up fast.
They have always 5-10% more to give... from Harddisk to PC, camera..etc
-Else ask for free gifts.. from T-shirts, to umbella, free clock, thumb drive, extra and bigger SD memory cards,..
If they do give in.. jump to next store...or brands

1. Tot of DSLR at first.
2. Then attention caught by Sony HX1's Panorama feature.
3. Tried searching, seems like no other brand has this convenient feature.
4. PC show additional gifts like 1x8GB MS, 1xdigital photo frame, 1xtripod, 1 screen protector.
5. Was at PC Show yesterday, just surprised when the Olympus staff told me SP590UZ also has Panorama feature.

Too many variables, so depends on your priorities. But I guess Sony pricier ok due to CMOS sensor, HD movie, tiltable LCD, +photoframe, (country origin unknown though).
