I have bought via delivery also. And, ya, didn't manage to find any HP care pack either. When I'm trying to apply the 2nd& 3rd warrantly online by using all the code on the box itself, and it keep saying my code is INVALID. Their mails to me says their website is fixed up already, but how come mine still can not access ?

Hi, i order via delivery too, no HP care pack either.
just called HP, they checked my notebook s/n (which printed on a white label under the notebook itself), and they said it is registered. so there is no need to go online to register it. Think you should give HP a call. Hope it helps!

When i bought this notebook from the PC show 2009 they said this is the newest model, so after i bought i did a research around Funan IT Mall, and is indeed new model because it hasn't release in Singapore yet.

Hence you can't find this model in anywhere at the moment.

Please try again later. " what should i do???

BTW, the laptop is sweeeeet. i love it XD it has almost every function i wanted for my first study/gaming/entertainment laptop lols~. Hope the rest who bought this model are enjoying their laptops too! XD

I also don't have any Care Pack Registration Card,
I read the tax invoice, there should be three items, one pavilion , 3 yrs warranty package, carry case.
But i only received two items , there is no 3 yrs warranty card.
I will call hp tomorrow to clarify it.
wjsim88 - 23 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
don't call hp, they won't know anything. call newstead. did you cash-and-carry or deliver?
chtan - 24 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
mine is via delivery, no care pack registration card too.
wjsim88 - 24 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
I heard one of my friend saying that if you chose delivery, they will do the registration for you.

"They" refers to Newstead.

http://www.newstead.com.sg/contact.aspx

Give them a buzz to confirm. :)
chtan - 25 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
but the delivery man told me to register online for warranty and it is only 1 yr
carv - 22 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
Tiny,i'm car called the hp hotline and they say for 1st year,2nd and 3rd year register, you have to apply online yourself, beside that, all the code of what you can find it on the box itself.
gumbra - 22 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
no white colour registration card or the card that has "HP Total Care" written on it inside the box. is someone the same with me?
wjsim88 - 22 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
is yours "cash and carry" or delivered? I'm guessing you chose the delivery. You might want to call newstead cos if I'm not wrong, they did the registering before delivering. I cash-n-carried so I have the card inside and had to register it myself.

Just in case anyone, like me, formats his comp to get rid of bloatware, I hope you read this first.

Download the realtek NIC driver from realtek website and save it on a thumbdrive first. Then after installing a clean vista, install the NIC driver so you can connect to your network using network cable. Then use windows update to install the wireless driver.

For those who are into linux, Ubuntu detects both the NIC and Wi-Fi card automatically ;)

hi, may l know what is bloatware? why need to get rid of it, sorry if l've ask a silly Q. l've problems in connecting to the network using network cable & the moble network thumbdrive, can anyone help?
wjsim88 - 22 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
preinstalled software that you most likely won't need but they'll run in the background anyway. like norman internet secuirty, motorola softstylus, hp series of nonsense like total care, wireless assistant, backup and recovery, trial microsoft office etc etc...

I had 87 running processes when the comp was fresh from the show. after a format, I'm running about 45.

as for your network problem, you have to provide more details. I can try if you add me on msn (mynickhere)@hotmail.com

hey, is there bluetooth, or do you have to opt for it when you purchase? (cuz in the brochure there's an asterisk beside the bluetooth word... wonder if it's available only if you pay extra.)

i checked the HP Singapore website for this laptop and bluetooth was not reflected under the "wireless connectivity" portion....

and btw, is there a remote control provided with this laptop?

for those who have bought and received their coms, can you let me know? thanks

Yes there is a remote with a battery inside the package.
By the way this remote can be mount on to your left hand side of your notebook.

About bluetooth i am not sure, but i think mine have bluetooth.

I just checked my notebook, it has a bluetooth icon on my windows vista home premium on the right bottom taskbar.
So i guess it has bluetooth.

Thanks Desmond! I was having difficulties looking for drivers as the model wasn't listed on the page. I'll look for 1409tx now.

I'm the kind that reformats a laptop the moment it reaches home to get rid of bloatware ;)
Desmond - 16 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
No problem ^^

I am still abit worried buying this laptop, why i see on the net there is different model, 1301?????? So what is the final price on the last day? Cause i heard that other brand slash their price on the last day(which i think it is some what wrong)...... how about 1413? any news?
Desmond - 16 Jun 2009 - Reply - Permanent Link
I asked the sales person, they said this is a newest model, but i called the HP and they actually refer me to another model driver dv4-1409tx under Software and driver downloads which will work for the same model for dv4-1413TX.

You can always call 62725300 for more information.

Hi,

I purchased this notebook on the last day, the price was the same, store didn't slash the price of it or provide any freebies other than what was mentioned.
