COMEX show sucks, i ended up buying 500D in HN for same price 1399. Got 2x8GB, lens workbook, tripod, lens cleaner, extra battery, lens cover, screeen protector, EOS bag (plus the crumpler bag when you register online-collection in Canon Harbour Front) and i dont need the printer. People in COMEX are very rude. If you try to bargain, they will say NO and go to next customer.

Dun think alan, cathy or mscolor offering better deals - all controlled I think - mostly EOS 500D kit I @$1250 free only 1(8GB card) and 1 lens book plus the bag which I think may need to self collect from canon (COMEX collect on the spot Friday) and also maybe not the extended warranty with 50mm lens if you need. Weigh what you need and see if it's worth it but lastly it's almost the same from last few show whereby Canon maintain the same price but offers different gift.

Could be... But what i feel is i prefer the eos camera bag more cos it's not cheap to get a bag outside. The crumpler only can put 1 lens and 1 body from what i hear from the sales people.... I don't wish to spend $ buying since I'm on a tight budget. Also, my friend bought a new lens and he's giving him his old canon lens from the canon 450d, the twin lens kit lens he's giving me...

So I think I'll wait till sitex..... The previous show is better, don't need the EF book for a noob like me starting to use a DSLR. Was aiming the 500d... Hoping got other offers

I dont think the offer this time round is good. The previous show had better stuffs for cameras... Also, I think u buy from other shops such as Alan Photos, maybe get better deal.... Price is same as retail but just a couple of extra free bies...
